"I can't say enough great things about my living situation at Villa di Santoro. The accommodations, peaceful environment, and other amenities have made this the best living arrangement I have experienced during 20+ years of military service, where I´ve been a geographical bachelor. Accommodations are exceptional, not the substandard living conditions found with apartments. Marble, tile and hardwood floors throughout, unbelievable carpentry, quality fixtures, etc. Just beautiful. As for amenities, you have a gourmet kitchen, reading and relaxation rooms, gorgeous individual bedrooms, deck and pool, great parking, and a basement with fireplace and lounging furniture, TV/Internet, linen service/cleaning Just Awesome.
The summer months are excellent lounging and/or grilling by the pool, enjoying the peace and quiet of the wooded landscape. Vila di Santoro has an extremely large yard - great for chipping a golf ball or just enjoying a stroll. Note: You will not hear traffic, sirens, and the busy nonsense here. Nothing but peace and quiet. I have two state parks, multiple stables, a golf course, running trails, and the Potomac River/Beach within 5 miles of my bedroom. No worries about privacy or friction with the landlord. Mary Ann is a people person fun, caring/lowing, and all about making your stay comfortable and stress free. I'm truly blessed to have Villa di Santotro to call home during the week. You can't beat it!"

I've stayed in many rental suites and short-term leased apartments during my 25-plus years with the US military and have never felt a warmer embrace than during my six-month stay with Mary Ann.
The warm family/community atmosphere is perfect for those seeking a quiet and private stay with the option to engage in nightly family-style socializing. Mary Ann presents a very elegant home to wayward professionals like myself; nestled among a rural setting just minutes to area attractions and government offices. I found myself unwinding during the 10-minute drive home from Interstate 395, which presents a beautiful rural landscape filled with trees and a horse farm that invites relaxation. "A true get-away from busy Washington, D.C. First, there is plenty of space, both inside the Villa and outside where you truly feel out in the country. you can spend time out on the Pohick Bay (including free use of a small fishing boat) or hiking along some of the many trails. At the spacious Villa, you can take a swim in the pool (actually swim laps) or relax reading a book in one of the several living areas. While my privacy was always respected...
I always felt a part of the family. I was always invited for dinner, catered events at the property, cookouts outside, and many other events. Mary Ann goes the 'extra mile' for her guest, especially with her cooking. Being a 'guy', most of my food consisted of frozen dinners. I rarely ate them, as Mary Ann was usually preparing something which she always shared with the guest and was ALWAYS delicious. I would highly recommend staying here... it is well worth it and was a wonderful experience."

It's nice to be in a quiet setting away from the city, but with easy access to Washington, D.C. The metro system can be accessed easily by driving to Springfield-Franconia Metro station.
