Scholarship Sharing was born by accident after I started a Facebook Page for my friends and family to talk about scholarships. After leaving it public in less than a week, over 300 students had joined thinking I was an employee with the VCU Financial Aid office!

Scholarship Sharing grew into a student organization that WON NUMEROUS AWARDS from VCU campus student engagement offices.

Then it grew into a 501 (c)(3) NON-PROFIT to help students all over Virginia and Washington D.C. I added a website, an annual Scholarship Fair, monthly webinars, a database, and pretty soon we were being asked to be guest speakers and an exhibitor at high schools, colleges, and community groups all over the state.

I graduated debt-free in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University with my undergraduate degree in Mass Communications, along with minors in Business and Spanish. I also finished my post-baccalaureate Nonprofit Management Certification debt free in 2015. I was supported by 21 SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATIONS and received over $40,000 in scholarship aid.
